Between 6 and 8

Being tagged by Naresh and Steve made me to write this post, so this post revolves around number seven. Firstly, I want to thank tagging process, as it reduces the cognitive load from a lazy person like me and write something new. Coming back, why the initiator of this tagging process has chosen seven, as an auspicious number remains a mystery for me. May be in mythology and sociology there were saptrishis(seven priests), saat samundar(seven seas), saat janamon ka bandhan(tie for seven life’s), saat pherey( ritual in Indian marriage), seven wonders of ancient world, seven deadly sins or the famous “seven habits of effective people”. Answer of this mystery takes me here, may be it answers some questions.

Here it goes seven things…

I.Q.

Pondering over one of the debate, one social scientist and me had few days’ backs on what makes a person intelligent or genius. Intelligence can be broadly categorized into flavors of business intelligence, military intelligence, criminal intelligence, politicized intelligence and artificial intelligence. Well, intelligent people came in all shapes, sizes and anatomies. Since, world is a very big and diverse set of people, let me select a subset of this set i.e. DA-IICT. It’s apt to make a comparison in this subset, as we are all ingredients of Indian Schooling System, missed IIT’s by a hair, eat same Brijwasi food, sharing a common educational environment and learning culture for the past four years. Well, the obnoxious question is setting up the criteria’s of intelligence, does people born intelligent or they are self-made intelligent?

Deciphering, there is no yardstick to measure absolute intelligence. Intelligence cannot be measured in terms of academic performance, but it encapsulates clarity of thoughts, problem-attacking approach, time management, fast reflexes, innovative technique and learning from past experiences. Interspersing these factors under one umbrella and moving compass of Intelligence Quotient over a specified time-frame might be one approach to concluding and questioning one’s intelligence. Specifically speaking, time frame is a measure criterion as lots of instant-celebrities are popping now a days and their credibility is really questionable. Concept of instant-celebrities is quite common in glam world, as reality shows like, “Indian-Idol”, “Fame Gurukul”, multiplex cinema and our Ram Gopal Verma are quite legendary for creating and erasing over-night stars, which doomed and vanished in memories in a blink. Likewise, I truly feel, a person cannot be stated intelligent on graph of impulse. Impulse gives fame but hall of fame stays for those who crave for success all the time. Extending this analogy, there is lot of buzz over CAT exam, those who get through hats off to them but there are some close contenders who also deserve same basket, but narrowly missed on D-day. I didn’t appear for CAT, but one-exam can not justifies one is better than the other.

Well, forget about child prodigies, loathe me for this, I am intentionally choosing the approach-people are self-made intelligent as true. Intelligence cannot be bought, begged, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is expresses and polished consistently. Break from polishing one’s thoughts will eventually lead to rusting, so an intelligent guy/girl has to work upon his/her thinking process, insight on niche frameworks and keep learning from introspection. Intelligence can be dressed by observing other people works, reading (hope, it is true), versatility and definitely introspection. Rationale of choosing latter approach is to make me craving for knowledge, and lemme search for my cup of intelligence. Rightly said, “I not only use all the brains that I have, but all that I can borrow”.

Adieu

A life which is to end
Only when i am no more
A life which transformed me
into a fighter to the core

A season of love and friendship
for eternity which will last
in my future to follow
i will long relive this past

Memories of this past journey
I ll carry all life long
Memories of those precious moments
Which made my life a beautiful song

My eyes go teary
Emotions fill my heart
As my days left here are few
Now its time to bid adieu

It’s Unfair

Everybody demands a mental space of their own persona, where flight of imagination covers universe and peace captures mind. A seed will blossom to refreshing flower only when it is watered and cared well; butterflies make this nature colorful through their vivacious nature. Every living and non-living object in this world has a rationale which makes this world most beautiful in this cosmos. But Pandora’s box evils have multiplied all around and a virtual resistance has born-again to smack against the nature.

Sometimes, I get pissed off with all the incessant things happened in this part of globe. Wondering why a person goes insane, atrocious and inhuman. Just few days back, come across these stories.. dalit girl , 16 year old story and also in addtion didn't mean to cause you pain (from Kaleidoglide).
Dictionary is short to define those persons. Much has been said about Jessica Lal (full chronological status) case. Laxity from law is well recognized and justice remains confined to heavy purses and rich-sections of society. What one need is money and officially s/he can frame rules, decide what goes next and easily mould constitution. Rightly said Sabse bada rupaiyya. In most of the times, it’s either poor or women, who suffer most. Women suffers because of long jurisdiction procedures, offensive questionnaires and bad name in society and eventually cases lost in files. Everything boils down to insecurity; gender bias, abusive culture, eve teasing and that create puncture in social structure. Rape has always been a part of human history. Almost all cultures have such history. During all wars, the winning army ravaged the women of the loser. If we look back at known human history, we see a history of male superiority and aggressive behavior. Till the recent past, a rapist was not even 'publicly' looked down upon. Worldwide, in all cultures, mythological are full of rapes, attempted rapes, abductions, and molestations. All societies condemned rape when it was perpetrated on its own women, and encouraged or closed their eyes to it when it was perpetrated on their enemy's women. It is only with the rising equality of women in modern civilization that rape was at least publicly accepted as a crime. But the society is still pretty many gender-unequal, and old attitudes are not those old yet.

8th march has come on gone, and it’s been celebrated only to demonstrate that there is a weaker gender in this society. Talking to one of my friend, her parents were looking for a bridegroom and even after a highly educated; she was paraded numerous times before unknown people and then after rejected for not fulfilling dowry requirements. Who on this world wants to be walk before greedy people and whom the stupid who has lays down the rules of dowry? Her parents have spent lakhs of rupees to get her best education and in spite of all this, that girl has no choice of with whom she will spend her entire life. Ridiculously, her parents has to pay handsome money to choose eligible partner, if that asshole is eligible for her then why he needs money? Our social system is too restrictive, bound by religion, caste-systems and orthodox thoughts, which prevents freedom of thoughts.

I blame this social structure for all the atrocities happening. Concepts like Patriarchy, polygamy and tradition of disrespecting woman after winning the war has evolved over a period of time and real cause of gender imbalance in society. Though people talk about gender equality, but I feel that there is wide gender imbalance and it will move stealthily in our society for decades to come.

It's all about Love

I love you without knowing how, why, or even from where. – Patch Adams

It's back again. Lovebirds waited for 364 days and nights just for this day to express three words to their sweethearts. How many times they rehearsed how to get started with a persona of their dream? Even mirror got bored to tears with incessant conversation, hand that countlessly fondle hairs and google letters that never reached destination. Huh!!, I have been a victim of those insane and irrational acts and this post is dedicated to girl of my dreams. It's not because of singularity and today is valentine day but why wait for things to happen, just make them happen. If you like someone just says it loud otherwise time will pass away.

Well, I had always felt mystic about infatuation, crush, love and all other phrases people used to symbolize feeling to their loved ones. One day, you came across a girl and a brainwave hits,” This is the girl I am seeking for my whole life and hey she seem lot like my girlfriend :P ". Does it's just about a beauty that mesmerizes soul or an unusual sensation that plucked strings of heart and engulf mind and heart into immortal feeling? It's really tough to frame feelings into words but for sure she had made unparallel impact and irresistible desires captures mind. I always bewildered, why people goes insane for just one person and forget about whole world but later I realize that love is about seeing whole world in one person. Only things that comes out is rearrangement of alphabets and putting 'U' and 'I' together.

One thing that I strongly believe that it’s not about looks, if it is just about looks than it’s not love. It is same like speaking, we don’t make friends over looks, it’s about matching frequency of thoughts, resonating minds, interference of ideas and coherence of understanding. Though there lays a greater probability to fall in love with a beautiful persona (I think many will agree to this) but what more important is an emotional bond based on caring, sharing and loving. If you have seen Shrek movie, then it’s apparent to feel that love will find it’s way and god will take care of your so called someone special and sooner or later you will get him/her.

Talking of love and not to mention DA-IICT couples is inevitable. I truly feel that boy’s girl relationship means differently to da-iictians and it’s just confined to spending time from morning breakfast to dinner, reading together in library, sit together in labs, cut-off social life, walking gol-gol after midnight and doing stupid things and writing testimonial to each others. What a sucking way, there is no friendly culture; it’s just hanged around committed or non-committed. Either gal’s cut-off from boys and being proud of, ”I am not of that type” (I have not understand what does “that type” means) or they are socially cut-off committed. It’s hard to get across minds of da-iict girls and it will remain a mystery. I think you guys also feel the same way. neway no offence to their definitions, everybody has a fundamental right of doing things in their own way.

Well, valentine day has just commenced and I am still bemused when I will get girl of my dreams. I do not feel abashed that I did not get my first crush but she taught me definition of love. I got understand, what it feels to fall in love, why people are mad about one person, why someone loses sleeps and do obnoxious acts. I can still envisage her beautiful face in my eyes and that simplicity and elegant look which knocked me down. Love is definitely a mystery and eternal phenomenon and only those who have felt this divinity can explain it. I truly feel that everybody should felt in love once in a lifetime. After all, love is most beautiful gift given by God. . So all those who has get one or those who hasn’t get girls of their dreams should not loose heart, if your love is true then it will come back to you.

Happy Valentines Day sweetheart

Mayonnaise jar and Beer.

One of my friend had sent me this story and i found it awesome.

A perspective on life which is so real and relevant. When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember Mayonnaise jar and Beer.

Here it goes...

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty Mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fillit with golf balls. He then asked the class if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He asked the students again if the jar was full. They said yes. The professor then picked up a box of sand and poured it into thejar.Of course, the sand filled up the rest of the space. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students said yes once more. The professor then produced two cans of beer from under the table and poured the entire contents of both cans into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand.

The students laughed."Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided -"I want you to recognize that this Jar represents your Life. The Golf balls are the important things - your family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions -things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The Pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. The Sand is everything else - the small stuff." "If you put the sand into the jar first, there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. There will always be time to clean the house, and fix the sink. Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand." One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the beer represented. The professor smiled "I'm glad you asked, it just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple of beers."

Cheers!

A Generation Awakens

Being a republic nation has always bemused me and since my school days, it was just confined to seeing India-gate extravaganza on doordarshan and waiting for sweet distribution after the national anthem in school. Excuse me for not attending the republic day function in college for the last three years, but I finally made my mind to attend the director’s speech today.

After unfurling the flag, our honorable director, made same old-stuff about the struggle and valor of freedom fighters and chronological history of celebrating this day. But, I think his closing words might have stimulated few, as it something goes like- "There will be a day when India will be celebrating it's 100 republic day, and you people with lots of gray hairs- deciding the future of India by reaching heights of intellectualism and diving in sea of knowledge".. Big words huh!!.

Take any occasion, republic or independence day, and every time- we are referred to as future of India-though we are. But asking question to myself –we are gonna to shape future of country in some sense or how I can contribute to my country. This is really a significant question and whole motive of writing this post.

Well, dissecting the scenario- contributing to nation does not mean to me Ambani, Tatas or joining some political party or fighting at the front but stacking knowledge, wisdom and letting a helping hand for parallel growth of citizens by sustaining individualism. Patriotism is not just associated with singing national anthem and watching India-Pakistan Match but it consists of rational and emotional support for our history, culture, civic duties and moral values. It’s about envisaging one goals walking on the path of truth and morality, away from corruption and dishonesty. If everyone thinks of staying away from corruption and dishonesty, then it automatically serve the recipe of patriotism. Currently, India is a young society interspersed with 5000 years of history, and tracing the lineage path of our culture reminds of integrity, valor and achieving the unachievable, I do feel that here in DA-IICT people have potential to climb ladders of quintessence and putting triumphing Indian name in diverse arenas. Live life the way you want, enjoy every moment of accomplishment and also think about giving back to your country

We are the hybrid products of modern India which rocks, listen MTV but still attached to roots-yet contemporary yet modern isn’t. Patriotism is not a concept of history books; it’s a feeling comes every time when India wins in cricket match or listening Lata mangeshkar’s – ei merey watan key logon or dancing to bhangra ,garba or seeing flamboyant AB on screen. There are google instances which separates out Indians from world and all those cumulatively speaks-“Proud to Be an Indian”.

Bye All, Happy Republic Day

New Beginning

Huh! New year, new resolutions, new steps. Today, I wake with some unusual sensation and alarm clock was showing 8:00 Am. Oh! Great, at least I manage to wake early on the very first day of year. Really, memorable moment for sleeping addicts. Since my school days, I kept a note of new things, resolutions that I will trail throughout the year. Most of them related to studies like doing homework on time, no cheating of class work, getting good marks, all work in good quality writing, so that I could get "Very Good" remarks on my homework and blah blah. Truth is, after one week, things goes back to pedigree, movies gets precedence over studies and teacher kept me scolding over my bad handwriting and me laughing all the time in the class. There was my Hindi teacher, who always complains to my mummy "Your son always keeps on talking and laughing in my class", but the good point is, my teacher never punished me for that. Thanks, to my report card that kept me out of trouble.

Well, those were school days; life has changed in the college. Though, in the past three years, I have not made any resolution but this time strongly need precise strides to follow. Few days back, I read article Café Coffee Day by Subroto Bagchi in Friday India times. Well he is one of the founders of Mind tree, and narrated a story about owner of Café Coffee day -a restaurant chain. I was very much stimulated by the passion, determination, valor and killing attitude of that guy. Full story can be found on 30th December
E-paper, business time section in Indiatimes. And after reading story, I think one should be very clear about his/her goal, vision and Lakshay (that sounds great)...

I do not see myself right guy to preach on vision, may be Vivek and Naresh , but I desperately need one. I see many people around me, whose ambition is to do MBA, MS, IAS and then go to abroad, earn lots of money and after that the end - picture khatam. Is getting a higher degree, earning money and ya managing that 3-pointer is a goal for people. People keep mugging themselves in books so as to get 3.5 pointer by rattafication and some company like Mindtree will come, see your pointer and after that one will be doing programming, throughout their life and spending stereotypically 14 hours in office. If this is the case, we people should have started reading C, JAVA, and Networks in our V class and up to this time, we will be in some league of extraordinary...No offence to such people but I honestly do not see myself in that category.

I see my goals as a convergence of technology, art, humanity, cognitive science, moral science, social science and experience intersperse together. Lesson in moral science are still relevant, art makes things aesthetically spectacular, humanity tells significance of society and most important experience guides in your tough times. Learning technology means only when it serves society, good marks should reflect your expertise, knowledge not hunger of grades, MBA, MS are tools of accomplishment to gain excellence in area of awareness and not for just getting money. Pursue one great decisive aim with force and determination. Giving back to society makes you content and most rewarding feeling. Look at yourself in the mirror of introspection. That is the way you can become flawless in the spiritual mirror of your soul. After all, life is all about translating dreams into reality.

If I've got correct goals, and if I keep pursuing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing right, I'm going to succeed.

I wish all my friends dream meet reality in 2006 and me be proud saying-I have friends in IIM's and studying in USA, UK.

Happy New Year to all of you.

Have a great 2006

Bye

Moral Booster

hi friends,
Just find another intersting test on the spider web. Questioning test is very obvious phenomenon after glancing the result but they are really a moral booster. I am on cloud number 9. Well the few things I found true about myself are
z)You don't shy away from hard work, that's for sure.
y)You tend to dive into things headfirst and sort out the consequences
later.
x)You are the one who has to make things happen.

After all, it's all about feeling good at what is being said

Click
warrior for take the test

Here it goes my emulate persona...

Hello, Warrior.
Character Stats:
Rogue (6)
Warrior (17)
Wizard (13)
Paladin (15)

Your Profile:You're tough, courageous, and up to your eyebrows in chutzpah. If you're still in school, your teachers probably talk a lot about your "potential." If you work, your boss calls you a "pro-active self-starter," whatever that means. You don't shy away from hard work, that's for sure. When it comes to leisure, you'd rather be out hiking or biking or snowboarding than sitting around watching TV or reading a book. You care about your health, and have strong opinions.

Above all, you're a man of action and a born leader. You see obstacles as challenges and hardship as an opportunity to build your character (and your muscles). You're not afraid of conflict - in fact, you're not afraid of much of anything. You tend to dive into things headfirst and sort out the consequences later.

Your Mission:You were put on this earth to lead others. They will follow you, because they are bowled over by your forceful personality, your charisma, and your willingness to do what they're afraid to do. You are the one who has to make things happen, because everyone else is too afraid of rocking the boat.Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to Start Something. Something small, or something big. Start a club at your school. Propose a new project to your boss. Invent a new family tradition. Start a small business. Start SOMETHING.And don't dally about it. We WILL be checking up on you.

A Warning:Try to remember: it's not all about you. Yes, people tend to do what you say, but don't abuse that power. Don't be a bully, even if you feel like the weaklings really deserve it. Have a Paladin teach you how to "make nice" when necessary. You have the potential to become a great leader, but only if you curb your tendency to be thoughtless, egocentric, and well, sometimes just plain rude. And by the way, just because you don't understand something, that doesn't mean it's "stupid." Get a Wizard to figure things out for you instead of just giving up when your attention span runs out.

Just Random Thoughts

Floccinaucinihilipilification means of little value, which is read as flocci, nauci, nihili, pili, fication. Well this is not something to impress you with my fractured English but I like this word because of its length and rhyming beauty.

Talking of beauty, beauty lies in the eye of beholder that shares a strong conjunction with our relationship with the world. It is to recognize that to observe the world and proclaim it beautifulness is to participate in its creation as beautiful. Everybody’s appreciate beauty, so do I? My appreciation is not just confines to variants of femininity but extends itself to flora and fauna, art, writing, music, movies, photography and poems. If you enjoy poems than read
KAASH. After all there are some arbitrary thoughts attached to human nature.

Talking of homosapien nature, nature is something which is shaped by your past experience, circumstances, all the google instances happening to your life and most important perspective.
Talking of perspective, do you have power over on your perspective; I mean some people change their perspective as they grow, some by listening to others, some by reading, some by observing and some by seeing. Not everything you come across change your perspective, it has to effectively communicate with likings and disliking of person. One has to moved cognitionally, emotionally, semiotically and spiritually to bring changes to thy nature. When we came into this college and now touching to last semester has changed our perspective a lot. From a naive, ignorant, careless to a more mature person (okay I assume that). We learnt importance of family, how it feels to stay away 1000 miles apart, importance of friendships, disappointment, and accomplishment and also keep things in place, which I never used to in home. (Don’t tell me this to my mom otherwise I have to so the same things when I get back to home). My perspective has changed about life, computers (not only for nasty things), friends, importance of career rather than job (this is hard lesson), good and bad, males and females.
You learn that your mother makes you learn first stride but now you have to find out your own way, decide the precise path, decide right and wrong about everything viz. career, friends, partner and whether to go for a coffee or for Dew. We ourselves are responsible for every decision, there will be gray areas, fuzzy logic, analog ideas but you have to decide whether you want to enjoy every moment of life, give a shot to craziness, experimenting with new things or just wanna be what you are 4year back. World has grown from analog to digital, there can be only 1 and 0, so little scope for irrationality. Life offers you a thousand chance ... all you have to do is take one.

After all life is all about change. Geeta says "Parivartan hi sansar ka niyam hain". geeta reminds of abhimanyu, well I fan of this incredible persona. If I think of any mythological idol, I think he is my second choice; first place is reserved by Krishna. The fortitude abhimanyu has shown single handedly, his charisma and the fighting spirits that is really quintessential in it's own way. I remember a very famous quote from movie troy

Boy: The Thessolonian you're fighting... He's the biggest man I've ever seen. I wouldn't want to fight him.
Achilles: That's why no-one will remember your name in the history.

So those who have the determination against fighting the odds and take challenges climbs ladder of success and envisage their dream and desires. Well there will definitely be people in da-iict who will make history one day. Their earnest efforts will revolutionize the reputation of college, personal life and society. I badly wish DA-IICT produce some people who can change history.

Talking about change, can you change something somebody by just talking 6min 14 seconds, i tried hard but in the end does not even matter. Talking of failure, I have never failed in my school exams, but learn the harder fact by failing in numerous engineering exams. IIT was not my goal but engineering was, so fortunately landed on DA-IICT. This semester has taught me the real meaning of disappointment and how it feels to loose sand in your grip. You can see it's falling but you cannot do anything about that. Everything goes chaotic and Murphy law seems to be inevitable. Just over with Grid Computing viva and that marks the end of VII Semester. An end means new beginning. I am still exploring whether end justifies the means or means justifies the end. Best of luck to all CATters, GREians, GATEians, and may your all dreams come true in 2006 .

I am feeling hungry. Good bye this post is just a floccinaucinihilipilification...

Smile

"Smile Please" - says Zubin and we all put that wonder thing on our lips, while taking a snap in Vipul room.
Smile- Just a simple phenomenon, but it make remarkable difference to everybody life. Let a smile be your umbrella, and you'll end up with a face full of rain. Smile seems to be most obvious and natural act, but neither it's so neither natural nor obvious. Life gives us plentiful moments, opportunity, reason or creates serendipity to smile, but do we really translate those moments into million-dollar smile? I doubt it. Fortunate are those who got the essence of living, philosophy of live the moment and got the nerve of time, but sometime we miss those moments may be due to phobia of speaking our mind, shilly-shallying or might be busy schedule makes us forget to smile. Whether it's Mona Lisa smile or 12" smile of Julia Roberts or lovely smile of kids or innocence of Little Johnny, or columns of R.K. Laxman in India times or vibrating Johnny Lever or humorous Joey, they all have charismatic and refreshing smile reason and mark it's importance. Just a little deviation of perception towards life can bring that invaluable thing to your lips. Its just perception, which can make every event joyous and entertaining. Mine most joyous smiles comes through flipping pages of memory, seeing old photographs and seeing kids, I just love kids, thinking of moments with family...
A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away.

A smile is a curve that sets everything straight. An innocent smile of a kid can make you do anything for him/her. Happiness is not a matter of good fortune or worldly possessions. It's a mental attitude. It comes from appreciating what we have, instead of being miserable about what we don't have. It's so simple-yet so hard for the human mind to comprehend. Everyday, we came across several moments, which gives us a reason to smile. Whether it's a joke cracked by someone (even a PJ would do), some weird action (like Everyday after bath, I have bucket in one hand and clothes, in another, but still trying to unlock the door- just ponder what a funny situation that is), beautiful flowers, while sipping coffee @ food court, smile exchanged when we see friends, a refreshing smile passed by a beautiful girl, sometimes some obnoxious smile by our nutty professors or that million dollar smile you fake in the mirror. Just find new reasons in your life to smile.
Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give...

P.S. "Smile and the world smiles with you cry and you cry alone". It's a fact.

I AM SAM

yes it’s tagging and I have recently become a constituent of this chain reaction by vivek and boblichki. I think the main reason for so few posts is ignorance, I feel myself at surface but not at depth, that is one of the main reason why I sometime I feel handicapped in writing articles. In the penultimate semester of mine engineering, I have started reading lots of books and articles to get myself into the umbrella of knowledge. Now coming to essence of this article, explaining and exploring me in 20 points. I would like to make amendment to this tagging process, since I have just turned 22 last week, I would like to uncover my book of life in 22 points. Lets see how fair I am to cover my 22 years of life in 22 points. So here goes -

1) I am exceedingly sentimental and highly emotional person. Sometimes even a small event can trigger my emotions.

arz kiya hain..

BollyWood Formulae(not original)

BOLLYWOOD !!
hey i find out some non-intersting melodarmatic , most widely d -grade Bollywood formulaes
hi !! until i come up with ne new creative bakar of my own..bear this crap and ya i am a fan of Richard Stallman so believe in open source.
any resemblance between anything here and views of somebody else are not co-incidental. The question of similarity of existence of my views and views of anyone else is left as an exercise for the reader..

1) Two brothers separated in childhood will always grow up on different sides of the law. The law-breaker, however, will suddenly turn over a new leaf before the end, bash up the villain (who is the *real* bad guy), and be pardoned for all his sins before the last-scene family reunion. (This is possible only if he has a heroine - see rule 2 below).

2)If the number of heroes is not equal to the number of heroines, the excess heroes/heroines wil
l a) die
b) join the Red Cross and take off to Switzerland before the end of the movie.

3) If there are 2 heroes in a movie, they will fight each other savagely for at least 5 minutes (10 if they are brothers).

4) Any court scene will have the dialogue "Objection milord". If it is said by the hero, or his lawyer, it will be overruled. Else, it will be sustained.

5) The hero's sister will usually marry the hero's best friend (i.e. the second hero). Else, she will be raped by the villain within the 1st 30 minutes, and commit suicide.

6) In a chase, the hero will always overtake the villain, even on a bullock-cart, or on foot.

7) When the hero fires at the villain(s), he will never
a) miss ...
b) run out of bullets.
c) When the villain fires at the hero, he will always miss (unless the hero is required to die, as in rule 2).

8) Any fight sequence shall take place in the vicinity of a stack of
a) pots
b) barrels
c) glass bottles, which will be smashed to pieces.

9) Any movie involving lost and found brothers will have a song sung by
a) the brothers
b) their blind mother (but of course, she has to be blind in order to regain her sight in the climax)
c) the family dog/cat.

10) Police inspectors (when not played by the hero) come in two categories:
a) Scrupulously honest, probably the hero's father - killedby the villain before the titles.
b) Honest, but always chasing the anti-hero (as in Rule 1), saying "Tum kanoon se bach nahin sakte", only to pat him in the back in reel 23. Usually, this inspector's daughter is in love with the anti-hero.
c) The corrupt inspector, (usually the real villain's sidekick) unceremoniously knocked about by the hero(s) in the climax.
